I'm sewing everyday and lovin' it, might be tired by the end of the month but it's all good.
Today I have a Christmas gift to show you, Coffee Cups. When I bought the book Back to Charm School by Country Threads one of the quilts I loved in the book was the Coffee Cups. I used Apple of My Eye fabric for the coffee cups by Riley Blake. The background fabric is Pam Kitty Morning, love the yellow dots.
Do you every think to make yourself something while your making a gift? Doesn't take that much longer. That's what I did, I made this very cute mini quilt for my kitchen. Red is my favorite color, I have apples here and there in the kitchen and soft yellow walls so this will look perfect. Don't you just love that one of the polka dots is a apple?
This is what the quilt looks like in the book. I had fun making coffee cups and that scratches another quilt pattern off of my "I want to make that someday" list.

Very cute. Wish I was on your Christmas list.
Oh, Carol, I've had my 'eye' (no pun intended) on Apple of My Eye fabric but wasn't sure what I would make. OMG, this is beyond adorable. My kitchen, like yours has lots of red, red is my favorite color, as well, and this little wallhanging would look adorable.
I love the runner, as well.
This is so cute! The fabrics are so cheerful. You're making wonderful progress on your Christmas gifts.
This is so cute! I love the mini - and yes, we should treat our selves once in a while.
Oh I LOVE this one! I bought that book for this exact same pattern. Love your yellow and red fabric combo -- so cute.
Another winner! I love it :-)
Very nice, I love the fabric. It's so much fun to see what you have created each day!
Love your colors :-) These are sweet quilts. I'm making a quilt gift from that same book and made a little one from leftovers from the charm pack for me too. So I think you had an excellant idea!
Oh Carol.....I wish we lived closer to each other. I would love to quilt under your direction some day.
Congrats on all the fabulous gifts!
You are really making me look bad! I mean, you are getting in some serious piecing time! Wouldn't that be fun too as a mug rug with pocket front to stick tea bags in and gift? Oooooo so many ideas with this one!
That's adorable Carol!
Wow. I am so impressed with all your projects! I think this may be my favorite~ but probably only because I love red and yellow too. Great job!
Love your little gift to yourself. The apples are great but my favorite blocks are the ones with the large polka dot. Keep up the great work.
Oh I love it!! Sewing everyday is amazing!

I Love the quilt and your mini quilt, the colours are great for a kitchen. Susie x
This is such a cute pattern! This would be a great design for a gift!
Carol, I've just found your blog and I'm working backwards through all your Christmas in July projects. What you are doing is inspirational. All your work is beautiful and your little helper is a delight. Your idea to make something little from a pattern on the "some day" list is a great idea.
